Travels & Photos

Some people spend their money on cars, or houses or whatever. I like to spend a certain amount of mine on travel. Every year, as well as family holidays (with which I shall not burden the attentive reader), we take ‘adventure holidays’, though I must qualify that term ‘adventure’ as being neither truly adventurous nor imbued with any sense of the healthy and worthy trekking mentality.

Rather, it is travel to slightly out-of-the-way places, done in a measure of comfort and with no illusions (or particular desire) as to being other than a fleeting tourist who will soon be scurrying back to the comfort of a rather nice hotel (“where available”) and ultimately home.
